Our perfect family holiday! 🌴

Going away with a 4 year old can be tricky. But Jumeirah Zabeel Saray offers so many fun things to do, they make a huge effort in welcoming young children, they have vegan options suitable for small people and it feels like any stress from travelling, goes away the minute you arrive.

Incredible family friendly hotel with fabulous pool and award winning spa and a great selection of restaurants.

We’re staying half board and although there’s not loads of vegan options, what there is, is delicious!

Stunning pool, amazing spa! Children’s pool with water slides, on site pottery painting for children and loads more!

The staff here are so so lovely and welcoming… very attentive and helpful.

Breakfast is a huge buffet, lots to choose from…. I can’t go anywhere without having my favourite hash browns and beans though (with hummus as it’s so good 😜) amazing selection of juices so I’ve started my days with a refreshing green juice 💚

First night we dined at Al Nafoorah a fabulous Lebanese restaurant, which was insanely good! The chef prepared us a mix of sensational vegan options as a platter (with fries as my daughter can’t go anywhere without fries 😂🍟)

Second night at Amala, a wonderful Indian restaurant. We had “AMALA Punjabi Samosa” for starters and “Ennai Kathirikai”for main, which was eggplant, sweet-and-sour onion, tomato masala, tamarind and coconut milk, delish and refreshing mango for dessert 🥭 (there’s a mango festival on at the moment).

Not sure where to try tonight but for now we’re off to the beach 🏝️ 🧘‍♀️

C A S H E W • N U T S 🥜 Love ‘em as much as I do?! Cashews are another of my faves that don’t seem to get so much love as say our almond range… these nutrient rich beauties are always in my kitchen cupboard and here’s why I love them….. 👇

🥜 Cashew snacks ~ grab a bag, open and eat! They’re full of goodness!
🥜 Cashew cheesecake (OMG! 😍)
🥜 Cashews with everything! ~ Stir-fries, curries, salads and and Buddha bowls! My fave when served with yummy tofu! So versatile and a great addition to all of these!
🥜 Cashew curry ~ ground up and used as a base for creamy curries. They help create a delicious rich, thick sauce!
🥜 Cashew butter ~ they create a great creamy spread ~ blend until they’re smooth!
🥜 Cashew milk ~ Soak overnight and blend with filtered water to create a dairy-free milk add a dash of salt and agave!

A “thank you” post! I drove for 5 hours and couldn’t face the rest of the drive home. Jumped onto Hotels.com with 15 minutes to find somewhere and found this little gem 💎 The Cricketers Pub, Clavering 🌳

👨‍🍳 I called ahead to ask about food and although I was due to arrive nearly an hour after last orders, they kindly offered to take my order in advance and the chef prepared me a delish vegan Truffle Risotto ready for when I arrived 🍄

🚗 There was plenty of parking and on arrival I immediately felt relaxed after a long day in the car! Food served straight away, which was so good!

🛌 Then I checked in to my room, enjoying a complimentary upgrade to one of the “BEST ROOMS” which are beautiful individually styled boutique rooms across the lane with parking right outside (like your own little cottage!)

🥛 Offered a jug of non dairy milk for the room (which I always forget to ask for!), it’s the little things that make me happy 😊

🐰 Shampoos etc are vegan and cruelty free

For those looking to indulge in some ultimate me time and spectacular fine dining, you must try Ockenden Manor Hotel and Spa by Historic Sussex Hotels 🏡 set in the beautiful Sussex countryside with the most dreamy spa surrounded by beautiful fields and woodland 🌳

🧘‍♀️ The spa is a sanctuary for calm and the restaurant is the perfect indulgent treat to enjoy with a good friend or loved one.

👨‍🍳 Award Winning Chef Stephen Crane and his team are highly skilled and total perfectionists; serving up the most beautifully presented and delicious food.

☀️ Get up early and enjoy an outdoor swim as the sun rises or relax in the stunning outdoor hot tub.

Starter: Warm winter vegetable salad with truffle, hazelnuts, chicory and whipped vegan feta.

Main: Salt baked Sussex celeriac. Onion purée, Sussex brassicas, wild mushrooms, roast shallots, char grilled king oyster mushrooms.

Dessert: (which I took to the drawing room to enjoy with a pot of tea 🤍)
Warm cherry Bakewell with cherry sorbet.

We’re off to Bailiffscourt today, another luxury spa hotel by , so will share our adventures very soon 🤍

The future is plant-based! 🌱✨ What do you think about Burger King UK making a pledge to make its menu 50% meat-free by 2030? 🍔

The global fast food chain made the announcement when it launched is Vegan Nuggets in January in the UK last year -

“The launch is another positive step in reducing our carbon footprint and driving innovation in our menus in response to growing demand for meatless alternatives and products with no animal protein in the UK.” - Burger King UK chief executive Alasdair Murdoch
