When to use 4L in your offroad car:

*When driving up or down super steep inclines* - such as driving down from Jebel Sharqie towards snake canyon as perfectly demonstrated by Mrs Bronco here.

There is actually a sign at the start of this trail - “please engage low gear” but what does this mean?

It means use 4L and manual gears (put gear stick into M and use M1, M2, M3 etc). Put the car into N (neutral) and press 4L on your G.O.A.T modes.

Now, even if your brakes fail you, the car will engine break in M1 and you will go no faster than 1st gear.

This is so important - imagine your brakes fail going down the mountain!

Al Rams beach in - a lovely spot for a day at the beach with the .bronco club!

Yes it was hot (June) but in the water it was bliss, from 4.30pm onwards it was ok.

The solo stove was (and always is) on a stand - please no direct fires on the ground.

fridge freezer from powered by a huge Pecron battery - this meant the girls could have Ice Creams for dessert!

Shower is by

Always leave no trace.

This will be our last family trip until August when we will make our way down the east coast of Oman bit by bit to Salalah - for which we cannot wait!
