Today children started their morning playing outdoors and picking some mandarins from the tree. Children enjoyed eating fresh mandarins for the morning tea. Today children were curious to make their plastic eggs shakers. Children opened the plastic shells and they were empty. We decided to fill them in with various ingredients to listen to the sounds they create. Children first filled up the egg shells with pasta and enjoyed shaking them like maracas. Children thought they didn't create loud sounds. Then they emptied the shells and refilled them with white beans and shook the shells as hard as they could. The egg shells and white beans created a bit louder sound than pasta shells. Then they emptied the shells and filled them up with tiny green beans and shook them hard. Children noticed that this time the sound was the loudest. Children were happy to shake the shells listening to the sounds.
