It’s been a while. Life has been busy.
With emotions at polar opposites.
We cried happy tears at our daughter’s wedding and sad tears while my dear old dad recovered from heart attacks and moved onto aged care with dementia.
So I escaped to Simpson Cottage, sipped tea, admired the views and took time to notice some of my favourite corners and treasure. Which one is your favourite?

We’re still riding the joy of our daughter wedding so I’ve been somewhat absent.
Steve had an obligation to attend an event at Bondi that took him away from his family while we were getting wedding ready.
He told he was off to walk his baby girl down the aisle shortly. She suggested they do a quick video and this is the result.
Just a very proud dad spreading the joy on his daughter’s wedding day.

Introducing this week's Friday flower - the Eucalyptus pyriformis or Pear Fruited Mallee.

A small, straggly mallee habit eucalypt that produces spectacular red or cream flowers in winter right through to spring that attracts birds and other nectar feeders. The flowers are encased in contrasting silvery ribbed caps and the smooth bark is grey or pinkish and sheds in ribbons.

A perennial plant that is perfect as a cut flower, helps with erosion control, products honey and also provides a perfect environment for bird nesting.
