I am a celebrant because I get so much joy from getting to know people and storytelling! After far too long away from that it was such a pleasure to marry Gayan and Krishanthi on 2nd of May 2021 in an intimate ceremony at home! They say that the best relationships start with the foundation of friendship, their relationship is no exception. As friends for five years, Gayan and Krishanthi has had the opportunity to understand one another, to form the mutual respect and trust that is necessary for a strong marriage.

On 8 June 2019 I married Prue and Cam, high school sweethearts and parents to their adorable daughter Lily. The ceremony was at Eureka 89 sitting atop the iconic Eureka Tower, all around us were impressive views of Melbourne but the focus was on Prue and Cam…well and Lily too, who decided in the middle of the ceremony she wanted to part of the vows! It was a pleasure to officially bring together this gorgeous family who remind all of us what’s most important!

Some really sage advice about weddings in 2021

It's likely 2021 will be a bumper year of weddings due to the pandemic, and despite the ongoing uncertainty there is a silver lining — they may become more affordable.

Hi! Like me you are probably recovering from the hand we’ve been dealt in the last few months. I feel like 2020 was a complete write-off!
However, I see more stability and hope in 2021. There may be a lot of you trying move forward with wedding plans this year, looking for a celebrant…I am happy to announce I am now taking bookings!!
You should be aware there are important changes to how wedding ceremonies take place. Weddings can go ahead but they may be subject to social distancing measures. Find out more about social distancing measures from individual state and territory governments (Victorian government link here below).

This year I will not being doing any interstate weddings – it is too risky for me and my clients with the changing travel conditions. I cannot wait to service my Victorian clients, with two weddings already booked for 2021!!

COVID-19 Announcement – implications for weddings

The Premier of Victoria have announced that there will be a shutdown of all non-essential activity across our state to combat the spread of coronavirus. Weddings can go ahead with the one person per four square metre rule to apply.

These decisions are not made lightly. If steps are not taken to reduce more Victorians contracting coronavirus, our hospitals will be overwhelmed and more Victorians will die. Overnight there were 59 new cases, bringing it up to 355 confirmed cases.

I have made the personal decision not to conduct weddings until 1 June, I will reassess thereafter. The Victorian Marriage Registry is still open. There are some restrictions on who can attend, you can find more information here: https://www.bdm.vic.gov.au/marry. I also know some colleagues that are still conducting weddings, and would be happy to make recommendations.

I wish you and your family all the very best during this unprecedented time, if you need any guidance or just want to chat I am here.

Stay safe.

On 7th March 2020 I married Canberra sweethearts Josh and Lia at Tinkersfield, Lake Crackenback. The Snowy mountain backdrop where the "word of beauty in silence speaks" was the ideal setting for this picture perfect wedding. Their story began when Lia caught Josh’s eye as she walked by his desk at work. He frequented the kitchen near her desk to have the “best coffee of the floor”. We know this journey was made way too many times, as Lia’s team used to refer to Josh as the creepy Internal Audit guy (sorry Josh Ginpil too funny not to mention again!). The ceremony was filled with so much joy and laughter, even the local kookaburra joined in! Lia walked in with Tori Kelly's "I was made for loving you", and they sure are made for each other. I want to thank my colleagues the wonderful Chad Croker and Alana Taylor Photography , it’s always a pleasure working with such professional suppliers. Tinkersfield thank you also for your unique high country property, and delicious modern country catering! Finally thank you Josh Ginpil and Lia Goodwin for the honour of being your celebrant, I am so proud of that eternal connection.

On 21 March 2019 I married Rachel and Edward at Lanyon Homestead in Canberra. Rachel and Edward met through family friends whilst Rachel was in Australia from the US. Rachel and Edward are a testament that opposites do attract. Whilst they have similar core values, their different but complementary personality traits provide for a balanced and exciting relationship. They have a shared passion for the outdoors and gardening, so Lanyon Homestead proved to be the perfect backdrop for their wedding. The historical buildings are set amongst impressive gardens, including the largest pumpkins I have ever seen!!:)

On 13 July 2019 I married the lovely Luke Gahan and Patrick O’Loughlin. I will never forget the intimate ceremony set in the historical Craig's Royal Hotel, in a room that once hosted royalty, diplomats and famous artists. The dramatic entrance of the grooms to the sound of bagpipes took my breath away. Outside it was well and truly winter in Ballarat, but we participants of the ceremony only felt the warm glow of the occasion. Thank you Luke and Patrick for making me part of your special day, Deanne from Craig’s Royal Hotel and Eric from Eric Sebastian Photography for being great work partners!
