Jellyfish are a natural part of our coastal ecosystem — drifting in with the tides and reminding us just how diverse life is beneath the surface. Their transparency is one of nature’s clever tricks, helping them blend into their surroundings out in the open ocean.

🌿 From bush to boardwalk… and straight into the sea 🌊

We love our trees in Barwon Heads and Ocean Grove. The twisting trunks will shelter your campsite from the ocean breeze and offer endless ✨ pareidolia moments- when you start seeing shapes, faces or patterns in the twists of the trunk and branches.
📸This natural tunnel offers a beautiful view from Barwon Heads Caravan Park across to Ocean Grove.

Have you noticed that the small-leafed clematis (Clematis microphylla) is now in seed across the coastal reserves next to our caravan parks? You might spot its distinctive fluffy white seed heads drifting over shrubs, fences and tree canopies 🌿. This native woody vine climbs up to three metres and is often recognised by the soft, wispy masses that appear once flowering has finished.
If you’re out on the trails this weekend, keep an eye out for its characteristic seed heads across the dunes and coastal scrub.
