MGR is a luxury glamping retreat based in Longreach, Outback Queensland. Our stunning glamping tents have been purposely designed to be your outback haven.

It’s a place to rest, reconnect and explore our natural outback environment. Mitchell Grass Retreat accommodation consists of 15 luxury ensuite glamping tents. Each has its own ensuite bathroom, air conditioning, European appliances, sumptuous bedding, beautiful linen and private deck. We also offer fully accredited accessible glamping tents with King or Twin bedding to suit your needs.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out to check on us during the floods, we really appreciate it.

We are currently cut off from town, but we are safe and well stocked. This video shows how far the water has come across MGR.

The flood water has not entered any of the tents, and we are hoping to welcome guests again by the weekend once the water moves through.
