Saturday the 17th and Sunday 18th of October

The Minyip Memorial Restoration Committee, in partnership with Art Minyip, invites artists of all kinds to submit their work for our upcoming fundraising art exhibition!

Whether you are a painter, fibre artist, sculptor, potter, or photographer—if you make art, we want to feature it! This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your talent, connect with the community, and support a great local cause.

Event & Entry Details:

Entry Fee: $20 per entry (proceeds go toward local memorial restoration efforts)
Prizes: Awards for Best in Show, Runner-Up, and Junior Entry

Junior Artists: Young creators are strongly encouraged to submit their work!

The Minyip Memorial Hall Restoration Committee, together with the newly formed Arts Minyip (and district Group), are excited to announce our first community fundraising event!

Join us for a day celebrating local creativity while helping raise much-needed funds to restore and preserve our historic Minyip Memorial Hall.

The day will feature:
🖼️ Local Art Exhibition
📚 Book Market
☕ Refreshments available to purchase

Entry will be by gold coin donation, with every dollar helping restore this important community building.

🥳JJ the Pig has been returned 🥳

He will resume his regular spot on Tuesday morning when the butcher shop is open again

Thank you to everyone who shared the post and helped to bring him home.

🚨 MISSING: Have you seen JJ the Pig? 🚨

Our beloved pig statue, JJ, has gone missing! As many of you know, Gary puts JJ outside the butcher shop every single day to let the town know we’re open for business.

Unfortunately, JJ was taken from the front of the shop sometime before 11:30 AM on Tuesday morning.
We would really love to get him back where he belongs. If you happened to see anything unusual, or if you know who might have taken him, please reach out to Gary at the shop or contact the Minyip Police Station.
