A LOCAL fisher made an exciting discovery last week, photographing a large, long-billed fish — believed to be a blue or black marlin — at the Moonta Bay jetty.

The Moonta Bay Jetty is an iconic L-shaped timber and steel jetty extending out into Spencer Gulf — perfect for a casual stroll, fishing, swimming and soaking up bay views.

Tucked beneath the jetty at Moonta Bay, this netted seawater pool is the kind of place memories are made - safe, crystal-clear and perfect for all ages when the mercury starts to climb. With the water warming, we’ve got a feeling there'll be plenty more barefoot days like this just around the corner!

There is a beautiful, beach, cliff top walk from Trelawney to Port Hughes.
