Golden Nugget Hotel Under Renovations see it as it happens!

Due to the alcohol tax going up every 6 months, thanks government for making it near impossible for people to afford a night out, looks like we won’t be reopening as a hotel. Instead we shall open as a take away with a nice dine in option BYO alcohol for dinner. Will be suitable for families and parties also.

Golden Nugget but yellow is a tad well…..yellow.
Whatever we end up being a takeaway/cafe/bar etc I am thinking the building should be black with gold to stand out as I need to pick up people passing by travellers. Black with gold trim. What do you guys think?

Many people have said too many hotels up here.
Repairs have killed me.
What take away food would people like up here?
Eat in or take away what does everyone want?

So very many or you were so kind so I will ask your opinion. The front looks very blank now I know as it’s ready for it makeover and new signs…..we can’t keep old signs as were paid for by ###X. We are thinking of going with Great Northern Instead. We shall still sell both of course on tap. Our newly enlarged bottle shop shall be we are thinking a Joining a co op and going by Super Cellars. Geez with I wasn’t so non tech I can’t add a photo lol.

I have recently been informed people wanted the Nugget to remain the same after the owners closed it and the leasee left due to so many repairs needed.
I bought it and have been carrying out serious repairs as she was sinking and wood rot etc etc….believe me you don’t want to know. I have recently been ‘told’ people wanted the Nugget to remain the same and many people thought this (so I was told). Who feels like this? We want a family friendly atmosphere with affordable meals both avail in the hotel and take away with pensioner meals available as an alternative to meals on wheels as it seems some people don’t like meals on wheels. I thought I was doing a good thing for the community.
