The perfect weekend itinerary! And if you don’t feel like driving back to Hobart after all that, book yourself in at River Palms and settle in for w**e and cheese by the fire, with a view of our beautiful river! 🤎

Wondering what to do this weekend? We can promise a day in Derwent Valley and Highlands Tasmania will not disappoint. See below for some ideas to shape the perfect itinerary!

Start the day down on our street corner for a coffee and curated books, then our sister store The Drill Hall Emporium for some serious antiques shopping. Pop in to ourselves for home goods, and Flywheel for boutique stationery. Banjo’s New Norfolk Market street market is happening Saturday for bric’a’brac and produce. The Agrarian Kitchen® for lunch (bookings required for the restaurant, or kiosk for a more casual occasion), Willow Court Antique Centre and Ring Road Antique Centre for more antiques.

for a b**r, New Norfolk Distillery for rum tastings and sales. Ashley Huntington for a little drive and a b**r, or Plenty C***r for c***r and a platter and lastly Derwent Estate Wines and Stefano Lubiana Wines for w**e supplies on the way back to Hobart. Phew! That’s a big day. You may need a weekend! Or make that a week. Seriously, so much to see and do and taste in our beautiful valley. This is just a selection of some of our favourite places, it is by no means exhaustive.

Shop open Thursdays to Mondays 10am until 4.30pm. Online store open always.

It’s still so surreal seeing people experience River Palms for themselves, and hearing that the little details that we (I) obsessed over are creating exactly the feeling we hoped they would.

A big thank you to everyone who has stayed at River Palms so far. We are gearing up for a busy season ahead. 🤎

The river is now officially open - and there’s a new waterfront stay ready for the New Norfolk Regatta!
