We are very sad to announce the recent passing of our Mum, Diane.
Di passed away peacefully @ 9:45 am this morning in the company of family.
As sad as her passing is, her personal story is a good one. A selfless life of caregiving with a positive “roll your sleeves up & get your hands dirty” attitude.
Di possessed a genuine willingness to always see the best in others & was the most generous person we know, not only with the material things but far more importantly with her time & knowledge.
Di had a humorous prankster personality & could always see the brighter side even in the darkest of moments…… Don’t we all wish for that?
On the professional front Di left an indelible mark on the local community through her tireless, decades long promotional work, paving the way for what today is recognised as the “Mountain Rivers Region” of Gippsland.
Although not a lone soldier, Di played a pivotal role in tourism development from the mid ‘80s onwards and has impacted our local community in the most positive of ways.
We are surely going to miss her as we know so many of you will, too 💔
