Home Rule is a stunning rainforest property in the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area near Cedar Bay National Park, or Mangkal-Mangkalba as it is known to the Eastern Kuku Yalanji. It is famous as one of the most beautiful festival sites in Australia, hosting both the Wallaby Creek Folk Festival & Bushweek. Accessible from the property are the magnificent Home Rule Waterfalls, croc-free swimming, the

walking track to Cedar Bay & pristine rainforest. The property is powered by hydroelectricity, and the waterfall also provides pure water for the whole property. We operate as a camping ground & events centre year-round, accommodate a maximum of 50 people in cabins & others in large camping areas. We welcome groups, festivals, retreats, community events and travellers to come to enjoy the sweet brilliance of paradise...
