6. And anyone who looks at an old country building and thinks…
“Yep. I could stay there.”

The Courthouse is a place to slow down, reconnect and make a few memories.

And that’s probably our favourite part of owning it.

Things you should know before staying at the St Albans Courthouse…

It’s old. Really old.

Which means it has character. And character occasionally comes with a few quirks. The floors aren’t perfectly straight. The doors are uneven. The house has survived more than a few weather events (floods, fires and storms!).

And you may find yourself wondering how people managed without all the modern conveniences.

But that’s exactly why we love it.

The Courthouse isn’t trying to be a five-star resort. It’s something much better…

A beautiful, historic, slightly quirky piece of St Albans that you get to call home for a few days.

Why come to St Albans?

Because sometimes you need to go somewhere where time slows down.

St Albans is one of those rare little country villages where you can leave Sydney behind, put your phone down and remember what a quiet weekend feels like.

Go for a walk.
Have a long lunch.
Explore the river.
Sit out front and admire the view.
Watch the sunset.

Or do absolutely nothing at all.

We think that’s a pretty good holiday.

150 years of stories…

Imagine the stories these walls could tell.

The St Albans Courthouse has been standing here for around 150 years, through generations of locals, travellers, bushrangers, floods, droughts and all the changes that have happened in this little corner of the Hawkesbury.

Today, the doors open for a very different reason.Instead of coming here to settle a dispute, our guests come to escape the noise of everyday life.

We love that the building still feels like a piece of St Albans history rather than a generic holiday house.

Old buildings have character. And this one has plenty!

Tucked away in the historic village of St Albans, just over the mountains from Sydney, sits our beautiful old Courthouse.

Built around 150 years ago, this little piece of history has had quite a life—and these days, it has a rather more relaxing purpose.

We’ve lovingly turned the old Courthouse into a unique place to stay, where you can slow down, switch off and experience a little bit of country life.

There’s no traffic, no crowds and definitely no rushing.

Just history, beautiful countryside, big skies, cosy rooms and the wonderfully quirky village of St Albans.
