We just cracked 500 completed bookings! 🏕

The next goal, the big 1000. 😁

It certainly has been a whirlwind 2 1/2 years!

Plenty of ups and downs. Especially with all the floods last year. Thankfully things really picked up once the warmer weather hit. 🌞

Thanks to all our wonderful guests. You have made opening up our farm to campers such a great decision. It has been a pleasure to meet you all! 🙏

It's getting closer!!! So, organise friends & family & lock in 5pm, Saturday 29th August for the Stroud Road Spring 'Bash 'n Bang' Family Bonfire & Fireworks Fundraiser.

If you're new to the area or haven't been before, come sit by the bonfires, listen to music, enjoy some hearty food from the kitchen, buy some tickets in the 'Random Raffle', watch the evening trains go by & view the night's sky via Dusty's telescope.

Then, let us blow you away with one of the most impressive fireworks displays in the region!

Entry at the gate. Bring a chair, bring an esky & help celebrate the colours of Spring!

Just a quick reminder about our fantastic local bonfire night at the Stroud Road Community Hall!

This is another great family night out with some of the best fireworks displays around.

We still have a few sites available so get in early before they are all gone!

It is held on Saturday the 29th of August and only 2 minutes drive from the farm.

(Please be aware you will be able to hear them from the farm just in case you have dogs that are sensitive to loud noises 🐕)

It has been another glorious winter's day here at Willowbank.

I couldn't help taking a few pics as I was working around the farm today.

We only have one site booked this weekend. Lucky regulars, James and Josh, get to enjoy the whole place to themselves this time!

There is still lots of availability here for the school holidays. If you are looking for something to do with the kids, bring them camping!

Next Saturday (the 11th of July), Stroud has it's famous Brick and Rolling Pin Throwing event.
Starting with a street parade which heads down to the showground for the family friendly activities.

Stroud Road...weird name...wonderful place!

Did you know – Stroud Road didn’t exist prior to the construction of the North Coast Rail ‘Road’. It was predominantly a landscape of newly developed farmland on the ‘Road to Gloucester’.

Geographical constraints prohibited the original intent of intersecting rail directly with Stroud. Subsequently, the township that developed during construction of Stroud’s Rail 'Road' several km’s to the North, became known as Stroud Road.

Interestingly, this same situation is repeated at the small village of Walcha Road on the New England Rail ‘Road’, which bypasses Walcha itself,Time several km’s to the west.

The section Dungog to Taree was scheduled to be open 23rd December 1912, but due to damage sustained by heavy rainfall, only the section from Dungog to Stroud Road opened on 4th February 1913.

"If it aint broke..."

On 26th February 1968, there was a proposal by Stroud Shire Council to consider renaming the village of Stroud Road to ‘Reidsdale’, to alleviate confusion arising from its current name.

It is unclear what response, or indeed other suggestions, were garnered from local residents at the time. However, the name Stroud Road still exists to this day…and we are quite proud of it!
