After a wonderfully busy six months, we’re taking a well-earned break.

Tamborine Mountain Bed and Breakfast will be closed from today and reopening on Friday, 4 September.

We’re looking forward to a little rest and relaxation before welcoming our lovely guests back to the mountain.

There was a time before QR codes, online forms and the internet dominated every part of our lives.
A time when a pencil and a piece of paper were enough to leave a message.

Today, our guests wrote us a review on the back of their used menu, and it was such a beautiful surprise to discover.

No notification. No link to click. No screen involved.

Just an authentic, heartfelt message left behind for us to find.

Here on Tamborine Mountain, that old-fashioned way of doing things still feels perfectly at home. Life moves a little more slowly, and pencil and paper are not forgotten.
They are appreciated for the simple, personal connection they create.

These handwritten notes become little treasures for us, small reminders that our guests have not only enjoyed their stay, but have taken a moment to leave a piece of their experience behind.

In a world filled with digital reviews, this one felt especially meaningful.

We finally got to check out Tamborine Mountain Coffee Plantation this morning.

What a beautiful spot to have brunch, lunch or an early afternoon tea.

Coffee was brilliantly smooth and muffins were delicious 😋

Sunflowers represent hope, courage and the strength to keep turning towards the light 🌻

In the cancer community, they are a beautiful reminder of resilience, love and the treasured souls who are no longer here but will never be forgotten 🙏

I have planted sunflower seeds around our property in memory of the friends cancer has taken from us. As they grow and bloom, I hope they bring a little sunshine, reflection and remembrance to everyone who sees them 🌻🌻🌻

Forever missed, never forgotten 💔
