Here is the monochromatic painting tips;

๐ŸŽจValue Scale: Mix 5โ€“7 distinct steps of your single color beforehand. Blend it with white (tints), gray (tones), or black (shades) to ensure strong contrast and prevent flatness.

๐ŸŽจUse Whitespace: Leave areas of the bare paper completely unpainted. This preserves your brightest highlights, keeping the piece clean and luminous.

๐ŸŽจGlazing: Build depth by applying transparent washes over layers that have dried completely. This naturally darkens shadows and rich tones.

๐ŸŽจControl Saturation: Don't let the pure color overwhelm the eye. Dull down its intensity in select areas by mixing in a touch of gray or its complementary opposite.

๐ŸŽจFocus on Form: Use smooth light-to-dark transitions to define three-dimensional shapes. Without multiple colors, value shifts are what create volume.

Here is few quick tips for youโ˜บ๏ธ

๐ŸŽจโ€‹Master the "Wet-on-Wet" Technique: To get those seamless pink-to-white gradients on the petals, wet the petal area with clean water first, then drop in your pink pigment near the outer edges and let it bleed softly toward the center.

๐ŸŽจโ€‹Layer for Depth: Wait for your initial soft washes to dry completely, then use a finer brush with a slightly deeper pink to define the crisp, outer ruffles and overlapping edges of the petals.

๐ŸŽจโ€‹Keep the Greens Loose: Notice how the leaves range from sharp and dark to pale and blurry. Paint the background leaves with a very diluted, watery green while the paper is slightly damp to give the foliage natural depth.

๐ŸŽจโ€‹Stipple the Center: Use a rich, warm yellow for the core. Once dry, use a fine-detail liner brush (like the ones shown in the image) to add tiny, precise dots of ochre or burnt umber to create the texture of the stamens.
