I attended Sarah’s final fasting retreat of 2025 in December, and the experience was truly magical. It was a deeply cleansing and detoxifying journey—not just for the body, but for the mind and spirit as well. Earlier in 2025, I was given a devastating diagnosis: stage 4 cancer, described as inoperable and incurable. From the very beginning, Sarah and I connected. She brought not only compassion but also a depth of experience in supporting people through critical illnesses. During my chemotherapy, I had to postpone attending the retreat several times due to my health, and Sarah was incredibly patient and understanding, waiting until I was strong enough to safely participate. The moment I arrived, I felt a deep sense of knowing—that this experience would play an important role in my healing journey. I connected with Sarah, with nature, and with a beautiful group of people who felt like family from the very start.
Throughout the retreat, I was reminded that everything happens for a reason. I kept seeing butterflies, and Sarah even found a lucky charm coin in my room—both of which held deep personal meaning for me. I left feeling empowered, and on the final night, I had a profound moment where I heard a voice telling me, “You will heal”. In January 2026, I traveled to Spain for a second opinion and surgery. Surgeon said these remainings could have been removed in during surgery 1. So went from Inoperable to operable and incurable to curable. Miraculously, all visible disease was removed, and my biopsies came back negative, except for one very low-grade lymph node that had already been treated.
I am beyond grateful—to God, to my incredible surgeon, and to Sarah, who gave me the confidence and belief that healing was possible. While I know my journey isn’t over, I feel strong and certain that I am doing everything I can. I am forever grateful.
