Enjoy cold drinks, tasty meals (Wed,Thurs, Fri, Sat & Sun), live entertainment (Friday), meat raffles & members' draws. The Lesmurdie Club had its beginnings in the late 1950s when a dedicated group of mainly Italian orchardists and timber industry people used to gather at the old Lesmurdie Sawmill in Canning Road (now the site of the Church of Christ) to play bocce, socialise and maintain close t

ies with their fellow countrymen. A bocce court had been constructed from old railway sleepers. The sawmilling operations transferred to Pickering Brook in 1962 and it was decided to form a club at the vacated Lesmurdie Sawmill and surrounding orchard lease. A meeting was called and a steering committee formed. The original name was the Lesmurdie Agricultural Club. It was felt this name reflected the nature of the Club as a place to meet and socialise for the whole community. The Club commenced trading at the Canning Road site on a temporary licensing permit and an official licence was granted by the Liquor Licensing Court in December 1963. The licence fee was assessed on trading from the previous two months. The Club traded at this site for the next 14 years but experienced financial difficulties for most of this time. In 1975 it was decided to purchase the current site in Boronia Road. It was felt that a new Club was a better option than continuing in rented premises which were in dire need of repair. It was at this time that the name Lesmurdie Club was adopted. The Shire of Kalamunda refused to fund the Club in any way as it claimed the Club’s then poor financial record was not an attractive vehicle for Shire assistance even though the Kalamunda and Pickering Brook Clubs were both being assisted by low-interest-bearing Shire loans. The purchase price of the 1.5 acre Boronia Road site, which was Railway Reserve vested with the Crown, was $12,000. The Club was able to secure a $40,000 bank loan and a further $7,000 in debentures from about 120 members for construction of the new premises. Lesmurdie Club moved into its new premises in May 1977. The Club was an immediate success and membership increased dramatically. The Club was incorporated as Lesmurdie Club Inc in May 1981. Extensive renovations were carried out in 1985, with the addition of a larger function room and extension of the main bar. The Club logo was designed by Club stalwart Mary Hutchison in 1988. It depicts a sawmill blade, representing the original site; a fruit tree, representing the surrounding orchards; and the Italian flag for the Italian roots the Club proudly bears.. A major redevelopment of the site was started in 1991 with a new building to be built over the top of the old building before the old building was demolished. This $550,000 project was completed in January 1995 with the completion of the Boronia Room function centre, new car parks and kitchen. A major upgrade of the Sports Bar was completed in 1999 and extensions to the outdoor areas in 2003. Lesmurdie Club has secured adjoining land to expand its amenities and facilities in its ongoing commitment to maintain its reputation as β€œThe Ultimate Hills Social Club”.
.. And Now
Lesmurdie Club is continuing its ongoing program of improving facilities for the benefit of members with planning well advanced for additional dining sections and family-friendly areas to encourage the community to make Lesmurdie Club the home base for social life. The acquisition of additional land will allow for controlled and sensible development in an expanded premises.

πŸ‰ The Lesmurdie Club 2026 Footy Tipping Update πŸ‰

As we're approaching the halfway point of the AFL season, Sally thought it was a good time to update everyone on how our 28 tipsters are tracking.

At the top of the ladder, Joe Guiffre is hanging on to first place by the slimmest of margins, leading Ernie Wooltorton by just one point. With plenty of footy still to come, it's anyone's game!

Congratulations to all of our round winners so far, each taking home a $40 bar voucher:

πŸ† Opening Round – Yvette Thompson
πŸ† Round 1 – Ernie Wooltorton
πŸ† Round 2 – Teresa D'Ermilio
πŸ† Round 3 – Ernie Wooltorton
πŸ† Round 4 – Teresa D'Ermilio
πŸ† Round 5 – Dave Hawley
πŸ† Round 6 – Jono Frusher
πŸ† Round 7 – Kev Davies
πŸ† Round 8 – Ernie Wooltorton & Joe Guiffre

A special mention to Ernie and Teresa, who have already managed multiple round wins this season. The pressure is on for everyone else to catch them!

Good luck to all our tipsters for the second half of the season. May your upsets come off, your roughies get up, and your rivals forget to put their tips in! 🍻

Congratulations to Matty Critchell on taking home the Members Draw! πŸŽ‰

We're beginning to suspect someone has secretly replaced our Members Draw barrel with one that actually picks winners β€” that's the third draw that's gone off in the last month! πŸ€

Congratulations also to Jenny for winning the Meat Raffle. We hope you enjoy those primo cuts and have plenty of room in the freezer! πŸ₯©

Unfortunately, there was no pool comp winner this weekend thanks to the power outage. It's pretty hard to sink the black when you can't see the table! πŸŽ±πŸ’‘

Thanks to everyone who braved the chaos and came down to support the club. Here's hoping Western Power gives us a quieter weekend next time!

Unfortunately we’ve had to close tonight due to a power outage affecting the area. We’ve been advised that multiple areas around Perth are currently without power, and unfortunately we’re quite far down the list for a Western Power crew to attend and restore power to the Club.

We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s understanding. Stay safe out there and we’ll see you all again soon.

Hope to see you all up there this arvo! Open from 3pm

Hey everyone,

We hope you're all keeping warm through this wild weather! Unfortunately, we've made the decision to postpone this weekend's Car Boot Sale due to the forecast conditions.

The good news is that we'll now be combining the Car Boot Sale with our Open Day on Saturday, 27th June, making it an even bigger and better event!

If you'd like to book a bay for the Car Boot Sale, please contact Sally on 0411 337 044. Spaces are limited, so get in quick to secure your spot.

If you're not already a member, this is the perfect opportunity to come and see what The Lesmurdie Club is all about. Take a look around our facilities, meet our friendly members and committee, and enjoy a drink and some nibbles while you're here.

We're looking forward to welcoming some new faces and hopefully catching up with a few familiar ones who haven't visited in a while.

See you on the 27th!
