We opened Islay House for a community ‘sticky beak’ today and 255 wonderful people came through! Thank you to everyone who came! And thank you to our lovely neighbours who helped out. For two hours it was like a peak hour tram in Bourke Street!

A new adventure begins! We are soon to open the iconic, heritage listed Islay House in Woodend, Victoria to Airbnb guests. After 16 months of extensive renovations 'on the tools' we now have five spacious and gracious rooms (sleeping 9) offering calm and relaxing colonial-style accommodation. The whole house or Individual rooms can be booked, where we have made every effort to blend history with modern convenience. Each room has private ensuite and all guests have access to the Sitting Room, sunny Morning Room and oak-shaded gardens. Yummy breakfasts, abundant veggie garden, happy chooks, open fires and only a 5 minute walk to wine bars, cafes, restaurants, farmer's market, boutiques and the brewery. A short driver to numerous local wineries and sites of interest. Macedon Ranges at its best and we are looking forward to it all - Stand by!
