Situated in Yackandandah, a heritage village close to Victoria’s alpine region, we advertise on Airbnb or offer discount rates to folk on this page via a private message. Set in the picturesque former gold mining town of Yackandandah in the foothills of Victoria’s alpine region, High Country Outlook B&B is in close proximity to the historical town of Beechworth, the pretty alpine villages of Brigh

t, Harrietville and Mt Beauty, and an easy drive to Falls Creek, Victoria’s largest ski resort and the only ski-in/ski-out snowfield in Australia. Inside our adults-only self-contained private retreat guests will find everything they need to provide a comfy home-away-from-home for two in a separate self-contained suite attached to the front of our home. Privacy is guaranteed as there is a locked soundproof door between your space and ours and the only shared area is the Oasis Room housing the heated swimming pool. Guests have access to safe parking in a dedicated alcove adjacent to the street. Our B&B is advertised on Airbnb, or we offer discount rates if you wish to contact us directly by email or private message. Since opening, we have continually been awarded Superhost status by Airbnb due to always receiving five star reviews from past guests. We are also classed as ‘Covid-safe’ due to our strict cleaning measures. Please check our listing on their website for confirmation.

A great sum-up of our beautiful little town, although we’re actually only 28 kms from Wodonga and there are two ways to get there with beautiful scenery to feed your soul whichever way you choose!
It’s no wonder we love living here and enjoy sharing all its goodness with our B&B guests - you couldn’t ask for a more friendly place to live as it has everything you need for everyday needs as well as just to kick back and enjoy the peace and quiet.
There’s even an extensive community garden, with all sorts of fruit and veg on offer, where you can help yourself for the cost of a gold coin - how good is that!
So come on down or up or over, even for a day’s outing, as it’ll feed your soul and bless your heart - you can just drop in for a cuppa and we’ll happily show you around 😍

Last week we had the pleasure of hosting a delightful couple who were returning customers. We first met Pam and Trevor back in June 2023 when they came to stay for a week to celebrate their anniversary. We all got on like a house on fire, so it was lovely to welcome them back for another week of rest and relaxation.
Then, last Tuesday, after watching Aussie actor, Shane Jacobson’s new series ‘Oops! I Bought Pub’ that’s currently playing out on TV, we all decided to go and try out the Dederang Hotel or ‘The Ranga’ as it’s known to locals, for lunch … and it was delicious!
Oh, but I’m not telling whether they had it all finished in time for the wedding - I’ve been sworn to secrecy 🤪🤪🤪
