The research team has visited the site of Chandpur to check the feasibility of setting up an international standard tourist center with the 4 Islands of Meghna. Nine scientific officers led by Kazi Rezaul Karim, Chief Scientific Officer, River Research Institute, Government of Bangladesh, visited the site on Monday. He was accompanied by Uma Saha, Principal Scientific Officer, River Research Institute, AKM Ashrafuzzaman, Md. Matiur Rahman Mandal, Scientific Officer Nayan Chandra Ghosh, Md. Moniruzzaman, Khandaker Rajib Ahmed, Omar Ali Maimun and Sumaiya Ferdous. They were accompanied by the project's managing director and chief executive officer, Sagar Mahmood along with Eng. Md. Monsur Alam Munna and Md. Mainul Hasan Dulon, Directors of Blue River Island Resort and Tourism Limited. Besides, Rahim Badsha, general secretary of Chandpur Press Club, AHM Ahsan Ullah, vice-president, and Faruk Ahmed, district representative of Somoy TV were also present as media representatives of Chandpur.
