Our founder Elizabeth D. Tilton reflection on where we were, where we are, and where we are going.

It’s rare to get a moment to slow down and reflect in this industry. Another service. Another opening. Time is precious, and it seems to move quicker every day. This year, we felt the industry was at an inflection point, and that spending time in thought was too critical to skip. The result: Hospitality in 2036.

Elizabeth D. Tilton built the first version of it for the FAB FAB Conference’s tenth anniversary in Charleston this summer, and couldn’t stop iterating on it, so she expanded it into something bigger — her honest attempt to answer what actually broke in this industry over the last ten years, where we really are right now, and what this business looks like a decade from now. All argued through the P&L, because the numbers are what we actually have to look at in this business.

Client Spotlight | The Warbler Hotel   Among the ancient oaks along St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans, a city that has always known how to celebrate, The Warbler Hotel is the kind of place that invites you to stay awhile, whether that means lounging poolside on the rooftop, strolling to Spyre for a day of wellness, or settling in at The Café, Mildred’s, or Upstairs.

We worked with their ownership team to refine their Brand Values and build out an extensive Service & Culture Manual for their first hotel project and its F&B outlets. Chef Fany Gerson has long made New York a little sweeter. Through La Newyorkina, which serves handmade Mexican ice cream, ice pops (paletas), and sweets, and Fan-Fan Doughnuts, her Brooklyn shop known for small-batch, artisanal doughnuts in signature flavors, she brings joy and a strong sense of place to every treat.

Client Spotlight | Lion’s Share

Lion’s Share is a chef-led, hearth-driven tavern in Nashville’s Sylvan Park neighborhood, inspired by London drinking clubs and classic hunting and fishing lodges. Bringing “comfort and adventure” to the west side, the restaurant pairs wood-fired, seasonally driven dishes with a luxe-but-playful room that feels right for celebrations.

We partnered with the Lion’s Share team across PR, HR, and building a website that reflects the warmth and ambition of the restaurant. We’re so proud to see Lion’s Share recognized as one of Modern Luxury Nashville’s Best New Restaurants.

Client Spotlight | Hot Bread Kitchen

Since 2008, Hot Bread Kitchen has created economic opportunity in NYC through free culinary job skills training, food entrepreneurship programs, and support for people who face barriers to meaningful careers in food.

We were engaged by their team to develop a financial management curriculum for their Seed Program, a 12-week course covering the A to Z of launching a food business.

We’re incredibly proud to support Hot Bread Kitchen’s work equipping New Yorkers with the tools to build sustainable businesses and lasting careers in food, a mission very aligned with our own.

Client Spotlight | The Buttery

We worked with The Buttery owners and husband/wife duo John & Silenia to complete a brand refresh, updated collateral and refreshed website for their growing collection of scratch-made cafes on Pennsylvania’s Main Line.

With the opening of their newest cafe in Bryn Mawr, the owners wanted the brand to reflect their focus on craftsmanship and community.
