I recently realized that although I identify as a writer … I don’t really write much, despite creative writing being one of my favorite outlets.

Know what else I don’t do much? Update this page, despite wanting to grow both our visibility and our occupancy.

So I’ve decided to do a little more of both …

Just need to dig through some old photos from pre-social media days (from camera and film days 👀) and edit down my ramblings …

A change in our personal plans means we’ve unblocked Regatta and Fourth of July. So I decided to put the whole summer on sale! Nature. Is. Amazing.

Over the past 2 3/4 years every time we come back after Dorian I’ve been in awe of the foliage.

I get it. These are native plants. They’re made for hurricanes. wind and water and salt.

That first time we came back it looked like another planet. I’ve posted photos. I will again - but they can’t do it justice. The next, we saw green. After that? Some flowers. Then more. And more. But The change in this past year? Staggering. Awe inspiring. This is Mother Nature.

My mother, for 20 years, has poured her soul into these gardens. To see it come back like it has - after all the emotions and loss of the past 3 years - warms me to the core of my soul.

Between my dad’s wood work and my mom’s gardening Li’l Gecko became an oasis of outdoor spaces, long before Dorian. And I’m glad to say it is finally beginning to feel quite oasis-like again.
