Tokyo in autumn, different streets, different skies, different lighting condition, but the same old love. From timeless temples and quiet traditional corners to crowded parks washed in gold leaves, every frame with Raymund and Jasmine felt destined, like the city itself was telling their story.

A few days ago, I was shooting for a restaurant while the sun was setting. I was waiting for the perfect shot to capture the restaurant's facade whilst the sun's golden hues enveloped it.

As I looked down, by the beach, I spotted this couple taking selfies. I'm not usually the type of person to approach total strangers and offer them a shoot but it has been months since my last portrait shoot and I've been itching to shoot with actual people again. So I approached them and showed them some of my work, it took a lot in me to actually have the courage to talk to total strangers (so yay!).

Turns out, they were on their honeymoon, and according to the guy, I made his wife's "dream come true" by doing their shoot as they only had their phone and each other to take photos of.

They were very happy with how it turned out. Little did they know, I'm one happy little photographer as well (EMPHASIS ON LITTLE 😒) because they got me out of my shell and months of creative block with this quick 5-minute session.

I'm glad I added a little spark to this couple's honeymoon story.
The lesson? Be a vessel of positivity and don't be afraid to go out of your shell. Life may surprise you with something beautiful.

Wherever you are, whatever you're doing, I hope you're facing your battles bravely. ✨💪👩‍🦰

from my shoot with my good friend who was battling cancer last year. We wanted to show what an empowered woman looks like and she's definitely the epitome of that.
