You can’t go wrong with Khwai 🍃 🍂

They called it “too wet” this year… we call it magical. The rains brought life, and now wildlife gathers on the dry pockets, making game drives unforgettable. See Khwai at its greenest with us. Experience it with Khwai Hippo Pool Lodge and Campsite

Botswana is beautifully green and travelers visiting now are pioneering a unique time in the recent history of the country's weather & road conditions! Early start to rains brought on green season and life flowing via the Thamalekane into Maun by November already! Rains persisted until late April and the WATER has become a force to reckon with.

Ultimate routes tips when it comes to water-crossing:

• Ask locals or park officials for best routes and what to avoid.

• Ask fellow travelers the same, if they have come from your destination.

• Check for where tracks enter and exit a water-crossing.

• Walk the water first to check for depth and hidden obstacles - be on the lookout for wildlife, of course.

• Preferably travel in convoy & have recovery gear at hand.

• Take photos to capture the epic moments of adventure!

• Remember that the journey is just as important as the destination in overlanding.
