There’s something special about Cape Breton in October. The fall colours, the crisp air, the music and the little stops along the way all make this time of year worth experiencing.

Whether you’re here for Celtic Colours, exploring the Cabot Trail or simply enjoying a few days away, there’s plenty to see and do around the island.

We’re already into our final week of the season at Cabot Trail Motel, and we’re grateful to everyone who has made us part of their Cape Breton travels this year. If you’ve been thinking about a last-minute visit to see us, we are still open for a couple more days!

If a traditional Thanksgiving dinner is part of your plans, we’d love to welcome you to Cabot Restaurant this Sunday and Monday!

Our Thanksgiving dinner features turkey, mashed potatoes, mashed carrots and turnips, dressing and creamy gravy, followed by your choice of pumpkin pie or pumpkin cheesecake for dessert.

Thanksgiving dinner is $29.95 per person, and our regular menu will also be available.

Let us take care of the cooking while you enjoy the long weekend with the people who matter most. We look forward to seeing you!

Our rooms will be waiting for you in 2027. Whether you’re planning a road trip along the Cabot Trail, a weekend away, or your next Cape Breton adventure, now is a great time to start planning.

2027 reservations are open! Our office is available year-round, Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. Closed weekends and holidays.

A little reminder as we wrap up this season: our last supper is October 17, our last breakfast is October 18, and we close for the season at 11 AM on October 18.
