After a great first week of breakfast service, we’re excited to now welcome guests for dinner as well:

It’s a beautiful weekend to stop in, refuel, and relax by the lake - especially with so much happening around the Cabot Trail this weekend. Wishing everyone participating in the Cabot Trail Relay all the best! 🏃‍♂️

As an accommodation operator in Cape Breton, we have had the privilege of collaborating with the exceptional teams at the Amherst, Halifax Airport, and Port Hastings Visitor Welcome Centres. We will deeply miss the daily interactions with our Port Hastings team each season. However, we remain uncertain about the full extent of changes at the Amherst Centre, particularly during peak season. Our partnership with these teams has been truly unforgettable; their tireless dedication to delivering outstanding information and services has been invaluable to us and our guests, effectively making them our welcome ambassadors, sales team, and essential partners. We understand the complexity of such decisions, but we question whether a comprehensive business case has been made to justify limiting or disposing of these strategic entry point centres, which are vital to an industry supporting a $3.5 billion industry.
