🎀It was all sugar and no spice for this babyshower! 🎀
We created a beautiful timeless backdrop for the mom-to-be and topped it off with a gorgeous satin bow! This was the main focal point of the afternoon’s events and really transformed the space to fit the theme of the event!

Now here’s the best part: I got to do this for someone I love to call “My High School Sweetheart” – a friend who has shared so many seasons of life with me! So I really put my all into creating thoughtful elements and it was a joy to see it all come together!

I have to share this fun theme we created for a little get-together to celebrate my Mom’s 60th birthday!

My house is a Costco house and my mom is a Costco Queen! 👸🏽

With a little play on words and some fun branding, we celebrated my mom! Everyone wore name tags (although they did not take it very seriously) and samples, as well as the infamous hot dogs🌭

Our fourth annual supply drive was a beautiful reminder that even during some challenging times, we can come together for those in need!

Thank you so much to everyone that donated in-kind or monetarily to help support a great cause.
With your help, we collected enough supplies to provide 42 healthy periods.

I am so grateful to everyone that rallies around this initiative every year and happy to have new faces participate as well!

Cocktails & Carols was a custom gift I created for my closest girlies — each one chose their favourite Christmas carol, which was paired with a Christmas-themed cocktail and brought to life inside a beautifully designed book.
Every page featured a custom drink illustration, the recipe, and a heartfelt message just for them — a small but meaningful way to turn memories into something tangible
Designed in Canva and printed through Mixbook, this project was all about intentional details and personal touches — because that’s where the magic lives.

🎄Christmas is my favourite time of the year to host; Our house is filled with Christmas magic and this year I decided to curate a fun table of goodies to greet my girls.🎄

I draped and swagged my tablecloths and came up with a fun menu of things to nibble on as we got to catch up, laugh, and play games.
I hope this slideshow inspires you for your holiday hosting!

✨Cocktail Tower – I decorated the cocktail tower with Christmas floral picks and a pretty bow at the top. On the tree were Christmas-themed cocktails as well as a few cups of candies and chocolates (one even had some fries!)
✨Charcuterie Board – okay, this is a pretty standard spread for any get together BUT while I was baking I had this really fun idea to create gingerbread letters for the board! Pretty happy with it
✨Fancy Butters – I was recently gifted some Christmas silicone molds and thought it would be fun to use them for butter (as I’ve seen so many do on these platforms). I created two different style butters: Hot Honey & Garlic and Herb. The hot honey was a hit!
✨Gingerbread Christmas Tree – I’ve only made gingerbread once before but wow, it tastes so much better than store bought! This time I tried to make a Christmas tree using a little kit. Not my best but I have to say, so worth it
✨Eggnog Cheesecake Dip with Croissant Crisps – I got this recipe from the Food & Drink book you get for free at your local LCBO. So absolutely delicious and pretty easy to make! I also made small gingerbread cookies as an alternative to the croissants, for guests to dip
✨Double Chocolate Brownies – I recently saw someone use these holders for pie and use them as placecards! I had leftover holders from a previous night and had to recreate the idea but with brownies. These were delicious and were actually a pre-mix!

Sometimes the smallest change can make a big difference. 🪄

✨When we create anything, it is always helpful to be able to take a step back and look at your progress, notice what may need to be changed, and make adjustments accordingly.

The picture on the left was the initial build of the garland. When I looked at it, the cluster of red balloons at the top were bothering me; I don’t like that the larger red balloon was so close to the large pink balloon and I didn’t like the flow between them. By playing around with both clusters, I formed a more unique and organic garland shape which can be seen in the photo on the right.

These small details may seem trivial but can make a big difference in photos and presentation.
That small adjustment - with the same amount of balloons - allowed the backdrop to fill in more negative space and flow in a more organic way than I originally designed.

So what is your takeaway from this as a balloon artist or simply someone who loves to decorate? - The small details matter. While we create, it is important to take a step back and check our work where time allows.
