A huge thank you to Ron & Tyler 👏

For the second summer in a row, Ron and Tyler took on the Chikamin Bay Portage for us, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better crew.

This season threw just about everything at them — breakdown after breakdown, long days, unexpected problems and plenty of moments where things simply didn’t go according to plan. But these guys never faltered. They communicated, figured it out, kept things moving and made it happen every single time.

Their reliability, resilience and willingness to do whatever needed to be done made a huge difference to our season. Managing something as remote as Pondosy, having people you can count on out there means more than I can say.

Ron & Tyler — thank you for another summer of showing up, sticking it out and getting the job done. I couldn’t have asked for better attendants at the Chikamin Bay Portage. You guys absolutely killed it. 💪🏼

There’s something pretty special about waking up to a sunrise like this at Pondosy. 🌅🤍

Mornings out here have a way of making you slow down for a minute and just take it all in. The calm water, the mountains, the quiet… I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of this view.

Feeling pretty lucky to call this place work. 🏔️

There’s something about a person’s first time in Pondosy Bay. You come in by boat or float plane, the lake opens up, and everything else gets quiet.

😂 Well… Pondosy had a bit of a windstorm.

The crew woke up the next morning to branches everywhere and one fairly important thing missing — the fish station. 🎣💨

After a little searching, they found it… floating a ways out from camp on Eutsuk Lake. 😂

Apparently the fish station decided it needed a day on the water too.

Just another day of off-grid life at Pondosy Bay — you truly never know what you’re going to wake up to out here. 🌲🏔️

Good news: fish station recovered. 😂
