Night Auditor (Overnight Hotel Front Desk)

Position Overview
As our Night Auditor, you’ll ensure smooth overnight operations by balancing financials,
assisting guests, and preparing our complimentary breakfast service. This role is a great fit for
someone who enjoys working independently, pays attention to detail, and takes pride in
starting the day right for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Guest Services
Welcome and check in/out overnight guests with professionalism and warmth
Handle late arrivals, answer phones, and assist with guest requests Provide local information and general assistance to guests
Night Audit & Accounting
Post room charges, taxes, and incidentals; reconcile cash and credit
transactions
Complete end-of-day financial reports for management
Breakfast Preparation & Setup
Prepare and set up the guest breakfast area before morning Ensure food and beverage items are stocked, clean, and presented
attractively
Maintain cleanliness and assist with light restocking during the breakfast
period
Security Overnight Monitoring
Monitor hotel premises and systems throughout the night
Act as the first point of contact for any emergencies or guest issues
Communication Reporting
Record incidents or maintenance needs in the shift log
Provide clear handover notes for the morning team
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous hospitality, front desk, or food service experience is an asset
Comfortable with basic accounting tasks and computer systems
Strong customer service and communication skills
Reliable, independent worker who can handle overnight shifts
Able to lift and carry items related to breakfast setup (e.g., trays, supplies)
