So grateful for amazing neighbors!

Sandy and her granddaughter from up the road just stopped by with an incredible surprise. Sandy is thinning out her garden for the season and brought over some of her beautiful perennials for us to plant.

If you’ve ever seen her property, you know how absolutely gorgeous it is—we are so excited that a little piece of it gets to spread over to our place now! She even mentioned she'll be bringing some more our way in the spring, too. We truly have the absolute best neighbors here at Grafton Pines. Thank you so much, Sandy! 💚🏡

Grafton Pines is still becoming.

We are uncovering what this place was always meant to be. In our short journey so far, we have looked some ugly moments straight in the eye. Some of them were incredibly difficult. But once you clear away the debris, the true spirit of this place reveals itself.

There is an undeniable beauty here, woven together by the giving hearts of the people who gather under these pines and among the cedars.

Many of you called this home for the summer. In fact, some of you booked so many weeks at a time that we occasionally forgot you weren't seasonal owners! Others were just passing through. Even our wonderful neighbours down the street along with a site owner here have poured into this place, offering to share perennials to help our grounds grow.

It would be easy to anchor our focus to the challenges. But doing so would mean ignoring the very gifts that keep us moving forward. It would mean overlooking the person who steps up and says, “Let me help you.” It would mean forgetting the encouraging notes left behind, the spontaneous hugs or treats, and the quiet, heartfelt apologies that mend the hard days.

This is not just a job for us. It never has been and we want to share our deepest gratitude. Strangely enough, we are even thankful for the friction. The abrasive moments have only refined our purpose. They have made us sharper, kinder, and more resilient.

So, we say: bring on the hard work. We are here to finish this season strong. Every challenge only gives us more to offer this community, allowing Grafton Pines to fully become the haven it was destined to be.

Big congratulations to Doug and Brenda Potter!!! They are the official winners of the Grafton Pines 2026 Annual Duck Race!

We are so excited to share this event recap, featuring a mix of our own iPhone snaps and beautiful professional shots generously captured by volunteer photographer Tim Burgess!

We want to thank our amazing staff and volunteers who help bring this event together. Behind the scenes, Maria and Kim did a phenomenal job sorting the ducks and creating the signup booklet—thanks to their hard work, every single duck was sold!

Out on the water, thank you to Clay for helping dump the ducks over the Benlock bridge, and to James and Gary for helping guide them down to the finish line! Another big shoutout to our catching crew—Nikita, John, and Oakley—for retrieving the first, second, and third lucky ducks!

The food was a massive hit as always. food truck kept everyone happy with fresh Nova Scotia lobster rolls, surf and turf, and Philly cheesesteaks!
