We are saddened to share that we are holding a special place in our hearts for a truly wonderful man who was part of this property long before we became its operators.
Les was one of those steady, dependable souls who quietly did what needed to be done. You would often see him making his rounds in his golf cart, picking up laundry, and mowing the grounds, and making sure everything looked just right. He took pride in the little details, and those small, consistent acts made a big difference here every single day.
When we stepped into ownership of Fundy Rocks Resort (previously Fundy Rocks Motel & Chocolate River Cottages & Restaurant), Les was already part of its heart. His knowledge of the property, his strong work ethic, and his gentle presence helped carry us forward. He cared deeply about this place — not for recognition, but simply because he wanted it to be well looked after.
Fundy Rocks Resort is more than buildings and rooms — it’s the people who leave their mark on it. Les certainly did. He was family. He was often known as “Uncle Les.”
We will miss seeing his golf cart making its rounds.
We will miss his quiet dedication.
Most of all, we will miss him.
We take comfort in knowing he is now reunited in heaven with his loved ones.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and all who loved him.
Rest peacefully, Les. You will always be part of this place 🤍
