The garden is officially planted, the netting is up, and we’re ready for bloom season 💐

Soon this backyard will be overflowing with colourful flowers, along with plenty of birds, bees, and butterflies. We can’t wait to share it with you this summer 🥰

It may not look like much just yet, but we’ve planted over 100 dahlia tubers and more seedlings than we can count throughout the property. We’re also direct sowing several varieties of flowers so there’s still lots more beauty to come 🌸

Little by little, the gardens are coming to life 🌱✨

We’ve been busy getting more flowers accustom to the outdoors and some planted in the ground Every week brings , stronger roots, happiness and a little more color to the yard. 🌸

There’s still lots of work ahead, but seeing everything coming together makes it all worth it. We can’t wait to share the beauty of this season with you all 💐

Today, we celebrate mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, mothers-to-be, those longing to become mothers, chosen mothers, caregivers, and all the important people who provide love and comfort every day.

We also recognize that today can bring many different emotions. Whether you are celebrating, remembering, grieving, healing, or simply getting through the day, we’re thinking of you and know how much you are loved 💐

Did you know, when you start to wake up your Dahlia tubers inside each bulb needs its own pot to grow? We have had major success in the tubers becoming alive and ran out of big pots to support them.

We want to send a huge thank you to Briar Bulmer for generously gifting us all these pots🌸 Community support like this means the world to us & we are so thankful to be apart of Kawartha Lakes.

Spring is in full swing over here at Lowe & Co 🌱

We’ve been busy behind the scenes getting things ready for the season ahead! Our new water tote is in and we’re working on setting up an irrigation system (game changer 🙌).

The dahlias are officially up and growing, and it never gets old seeing them come back stronger each year. We’re also in the process of hardening off some of our cooler-loving blooms like snapdragons, sea holly, and strawflowers.

Meanwhile, the rest of our seedlings are steadily growing along and getting stronger every day 🌿

Still on our to-do list: starting zinnias, cosmos, and bachelor buttons and we can’t wait for all the colour that’s coming 🌸

Things are moving, growing, and coming together… slowly but surely 💛

Spring is finally here. The garden is starting to come back to life, and we’re right there with it,planning, prepping, and dreaming about all the blooms to come 🌸

We’ve been gently waking up our dahlias,checking each tuber, brushing off the winter, and getting them ready for a brand new season of growth.

All of our dahlias are at least 2 years old, and they hold a lot of meaning to us. Kyndra’s mom first started them in a garden at Dan’s parents’ property for their wedding, a space filled with love, intention, and new beginnings.

Now, being able to wake them up each season, plant them in our own backyard, and share their beauty with our community is something we will always be grateful for.

This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to bring you along for the journey.
