Spring is just around the corner, which means camping season is almost here! We’re excited to announce that reservations for the campground will open on April 1, 2026.

Start planning your stay and get ready to enjoy beautiful days, peaceful nights, and everything our campground has to offer this season. Spots can fill up quickly, so be sure to book early to secure your campsite!

The Nelson City Campground is now closed for the winter. ❄️

Reservations for the 2026 season open April 1, 2026, and we’ll be welcoming guests back starting May 1, 2026.

Starting September 6th, 2025, Nelson City Campground will be adjusting office hours to 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM. This change is being made to accommodate our staff members who are returning to school. Thank you for your understanding and continued support! ⛺📚

Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Information

Please note that Nelson Hydro has informed Nelson City Campground that our electrical sites can not support EV charging. However, there are several convenient charging stations located nearby:
• Nelson & District Community Complex – 305 Hall Street (closest option)
• Prestige Lakeside Resort – 701 Lakeside Drive (along the waterfront)
• Nelson & District Chamber of Commerce – 91 Baker Street
We recommend planning your charging needs in advance to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay.
