Happy International Women’s Day

Last night the Quadra Community Centre was completely packed! A sold-out room full of people gathered to see Elisapie perform✨

Before singing this song she asked the whole room to repeat a word in Inuktitut…

Arnaq.

It means woman.

She shared that the song is about the superpower women hold within...and hearing a whole room repeat that word together felt pretty powerful.

Her energy filled the room and before long everyone was on their feet dancing.

Thank you for coming to Quadra and sharing your music with our little island community. I think it’s safe to say we’d all love to welcome you back again someday💗
