Even though we arrived much later than anticipated our host was there to greet us and show us around making us feel very welcome. The rooms are just as described...very clean, cozy, comfortable. The bed was also very comfortable. Breakfast consisted of scrumptious breads, pastries, meats, cheeses, fruits, eggs, cereal, yogurt, coffee and teas.....and an abundance. It was very peaceful, quiet and relaxing....definitely someplace I would stay at again when I am in the area (also only a short drive to the city). Our hosts, though always available and gracious, gave us our privacy....and ensured we were well taken care of. It was wonderful -- thank you!

I had such a wonderful stay with Norm and Marg. The place is very clean and located only 10 min. from Red Deer. Very easy to locate using the postal code. Breakfast was more than I expected. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Red Deer.

Norm was very helpful and welcoming. The place is immaculate, warm, spacious, and has an authentic rustic feel. I felt that it was an oasis. The yard, fountain, and garden are great, and there is a patio/gazebo with a firepit. My little dog enjoyed roaming around the spacious property. Norm designed and built the place himself, which I appreciate very much! If you don't have a GPS or a phone with roaming, make sure you get alternate routes if you are visiting within the next year or so, as there is/will be construction blocking some roads. Google is not entirely accurate with distances, as the area is still a little obscure. There are no street lights in the area, so arriving during daylight is advisable.

It was a short but very nice stay at Norman and Margs home! Our room was clean and comfortable with an own bathroom. In the evening we could watch a movie on the local Netflix account! The breakfast was already freshly prepared when we got up! We would definitely stay here again! Thank you for that Norman and Marg! Wish you all the best Philipp and Liana

“A truly lovely little spot, 10 minutes from Red Deer but right in the countryside. I was very pleasantly surprised. The accoms included a private bathroom, living room and dining room space. I had a very restful overnight stay. The suite is very relaxing, clean and had everything i could possibly need. The house was easy to find and I was instantly in a tranquil space to unwind. I had a great sleep in a comfortable bed and a lovely breakfast before heading back to my course the next morning.

We (two girls and a dog) stayed at Normans place over the Easter weekend. Everything was really neat and clean. We stayed alone in the basement with our own front door. We had a fabulous breakfast ( more than we expected) bread, bagels, fruit salad, cold cuts, cheese, oats, cereal, muffins and jam . We had our own coffee maker with different kinds of coffee and juice. The two bedrooms had their own full bathroom. The basement also had a living room and eating space. The dog was no problem at all. We had nice chats with Norman. The area around the house is really quiet with a nice view of the city and a good place to watch the sunset. But it's just a 10 minute drive to red deer. We will stay here again when we are coming to this area.
