Travel restrictions on Hwy #3 will be lifted on Dec 21. This means you can now get to Sunshine Valley. We have heard that the sledding is good and you have lots of terrain to access. Snowshoes for rent too! There are ten cabins and winterized RV sites for you. Go to www.htr.ca to reserve.

There were some questions about Camperland in a recent group post. The slide area has been quiet for over two weeks now. Our maintenance guys have been working hard to clean the area up. We will be refilling the pool starting today and will empty it and refill it one more time to sanitize. We have also been in communication with the RD to lift the evacuation order for the Vista area. Stay tuned for more information.

Dear Holiday Trails Members,
This post is to advise you that effective November 30th, 2021, both Alberta Resorts, Bridgeview RV Resort and Dinosaur Trail RV Resort have been sold to Summerhill Resorts. They are an Ontario based company that currently own and manage several other RV Parks in Ontario and in Alberta. It is over 25 years ago that we acquired these two Parks, and it was a tough decision to sell them.
We have negotiated a 20-year legal agreement with the Purchasers (two ten-year terms) so that you will have continued access and usage of the two Parks as per your HTR Membership; nothing will change with your membership usage. They have indicated it is their desire to retain the same managers at both Parks. Twenty years is a long way away; you will be looked after.
Currently, you will still be able to make reservations as usual through our website. Within the next couple of months, you will be re-directed to Summerhill’s reservation system where you will be given access to make reservations online with them directly. Once we have all the details regarding this, we will provide this information to you on our website. Again, this will not in any way change the usage of your membership with HTR.

Wanted to send a big shout out to the team at Sunshine Valley Resort for the incredible work taking care of stranded guests on Hwy 3. It has been a long week! The staff and the community pulled together and made this adventure; an adventure.

New restrictions as of Sept 28 applicable only to Camperland and Sunshine Valley Resorts;

The restrictions, announced today by provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry, limit indoor private gatherings to five additional people per household or 10 people for outdoor gatherings, unless everyone is fully vaccinated.

Weddings and conferences are also limited to 10 people inside and 50 outside, unless all participants have received two doses of vaccine. It is expected that Resort guests will abide by the order.

For Sunshine Valley’s indoor pool; all guests wishing to use the pool will need to provide proof of double vaccination prior to use. Please respect and honor this decision.

Effective at noon on Friday, Sept. 3, campfires will be allowed at both Camperland and Sunshine Valley Resorts!
"Although fire danger ratings have declined in much of the Coastal Fire Centre region due to recent rainfall and cooler temperatures, the public is strongly encouraged to continue exercising extreme caution with any campfire. It is the responsibility of the individual to ensure that burning is done in a safe and responsible manner and in accordance with regulations.
Reminders About Campfires:
🔥A campfire is defined as any fire smaller than 0.5 metres high by 0.5 metres wide;
🔥Never light a campfire or keep it burning in windy conditions. 🔥Weather can change quickly and the wind may carry embers to other combustible material;
🔥Maintain a fireguard around your campfire. This is a fuel-free area where all flammable materials (grass, leaves, kindling, etc.) have been removed;
🔥Never leave a fire unattended;
🔥Make sure that any fire is completely extinguished, and the ashes are cold to the touch before leaving the area for any length of time."
