Alright Vice boat lovers I was asking ChatGPT for the perfect setup for anchoring but thought I would ask here since I think it might be overkill.
This was my first year anchoring the boat overnight on the lake and we got lucky and all was well but we had some storms, some wind and 1 or 2 nights were I was up in the night wondering if all was well. If the anchor went, I wouldn’t have been able to get onto the boat fast enough anyway… 🙏
We used a FX-11 anchor and I can’t remember how much chain, 10ft? 100ft of rope?
I know I anchored stern out but it was just easier for me so regardless next year I do NOT want to worry. We also had not very thick stretchy whatever you call it on the anchor on the beach. It was smaller I don’t have a picture of it.

Here is ChatGPTs recommended setup:

Mantus M2 – 45 lb

Just three seconds of turquoise, open water and that unmistakable Scarab wake.
