The lower end of the Saugeen River is finally letting out for the spring. Probably won’t freeze up again this season. A nice, gentle ice out as the upper river began to break up last week. Spring has sprung! 🌊🌱🧊

The skating trail is open!! ⛸️ ❄️

While our skating trail is open our park becomes very busy!

We recommend purchasing a vehicle permit for the Cedar Lane parking lot in advance to ensure your spot on the trail.

We offer two-hour time slots for the skating trail parking lot which can be purchased up to five days in advance through the Ontario Parks Reservation website.

Please ensure you arrive during your selected timeslot and stop at the administration office to receive your permits.

We will continue to post updates on social media and the Ontario Parks Ski Report website!

We would also like to say a big thank you to our maintenance crew for all their work to get the skating trail open 🤗

The skating rink is still closed. Please stay off the ice surface until it is open!

Chantry island lighthouse was on fire tonight 🔥☀️ - so nice to see some sunshine today!!

After the warm weather last week, cooler temps have moved in. Water temperature is down, but fish are still strong & bright! 🎣🍂🐟 This weeks’s forecasted rain can’t hurt things with the low river.
