Yessss that’s right! I have a tiny sidekick with me this wedding season 👶

Baby James number 3 is on the way due late fall! 🥰

Everything for this season is continuing as normal (except for my new, very comfy shoes and extra snacks at every wedding 😆) and all of my couples know already- but I thought it was time to share with the Instagram world!

Fun fact: this is my second time doing wedding season pregnant! It’s nothing new to me 🤗

I’ll be on maternity leave from October 10th to February 28th back for spring & summer weddings, elopements and sessions next year!

Instead of doing chores and debating what activity will keep everyone happy before bed- we escaped for the sun, sea, sandy toes and ocean air.

We searched for sea glass, threw walks in the water, walked on logs and explored.

Kids got to bed a little late and a few dishes sit in the sink but does it really matter? These are the days we never get back.

I know it’s all worth it when I say “should we go to the beach?” after dinner and their faces light up.

Just a reminder, you have free will and you can actually do whatever you please with your time 🤍

There’s something incredibly special about couples who feel most at home outdoors 🤍

The mountains, wildlife, and quiet of the forest. None of it felt separate from the day. It felt like part of their story.

A wedding at Mount Washington surrounded by snow capped peaks and the people they love most felt like the perfect reflection of who they are together: grounded, adventurous, and deeply connected.

These are the kinds of wedding days I’m endlessly inspired by. Thoughtful celebrations surrounded by nature and shaped by the people at the centre of them. It was a total honour and an immense pleasure to be there for this super sweet couples special day.

I can’t begin to describe how special it is to be part of so many amazing couples full circle moments 🥹

From engagements to weddings, newborn, maternity and eventually family photos. To be the preserver of your biggest celebrations and your best memories is an indescribable honour and privilege.

Not to mention… how sweet is this little darling? One of the most precious little sleepy bundles ❤️

This session was such a pleasure and full of the best moments. There is nothing like your first weeks at home with a new baby 🫶

Engagement love with M + N 🥹 it’s so special to be able to connect and celebrate this special time in life. It’s fleeting, exciting and there’s truly nothing else like it. Every day has this little thrill of knowing that in the future, one of the biggest and best days of your life is on the way🤍

Engagement sessions are also a great way to get to know your wedding photographer and get comfortable in front of the camera. Another bonus? Special images for save the dates, invitations, wedding websites and even wedding decor. They also make beautiful, casual and romantic images to frame for your home.

I had the best time running around with these two. They were joyous, silly, connected, ready to make magic and focused on each other and it made for a beautiful session.

I cannot wait for their amazing beach wedding in Comox later this year. Meeting them and capturing these moments showed me it’s going to be nothing short of incredible 🫶

You want to know how to multitask 24/7? Be a mom and a small business owner. Wearing all the hats, doing all the things. And I wouldn’t change it for the world.

But for real, my work hours look a lot different from many others in my industry. Sometimes it’s a kid on my lap, sometimes it’s late at night when everyone’s sleeping and sometimes it’s interrupted more times than I can count.

But being a wedding & lifestyle photographer allows me to work at something I’m passionate about and be there for my family when it matters most. For that, I am forever grateful.

When your engagement session is a seaside dream 🤍

Getting together with M + R to celebrate their engagement in Nanaimo before their Salt Spring Island wedding this summer was so much fun. We got to take advantage of the incredible spring weather we have been having and play in all the best spots at this stunning park.

They even brought along their super sweet pup who followed along quietly popping in and out of the scene. You never have to ask- doggos are always welcome with me 🐶

I truly loveeee capturing love and when things wind up for the season, that same familiar spark is lit and all I can think about is making magic with my couples 🤍

You guys are the best 🥹
