The Renee Kaiman Levy Award of Excellence
This is Wahanowin’s most prestigious award and is now tradition. This award is named after a person who was an alumni, camper, and staff here at camp. She was a beautiful human being who displayed courage, resilience, and an incredible zest for life. Her motto was No Day But Today. Renee lived by this each and every day. This award was created in her memory.
Each summer we continue to award this to one deserving camper. That camper then has the opportunity to present next summer’s recipient with the award. A plaque has been made to honour this award and we continue to add to it each summer.
This award is given to a camper who has embraced every moment at camp this summer. This person takes the time to support others, be kind, embody camp values and choose positivity in the face of adversity. They have made our time this summer at WAHA a better place to be, because they are here.
We are overjoyed to announce that Josh Ge**er is this year’s recipient of the Renee Kaiman Levy Award of Excellence! Congrats Josh!!!
