Forecast is for a chilly overnight low of 9 degrees tonight but the days look great and the rest of the evenings are warmer all weekend long. On the offside chance the weatherman is wrong (GASP!), we're pretty safe to say that it's going to be better than Jasper, AB... LOL!

Had the delightful experience of chatting with this fine couple, Osama and Iryna, then caught up with them hours later with their first aid kit spread out on the hood of their car and antiseptic spray and gauze in heavy use! Their hilarious description of their lessons in clam digging had us laughing so hard I was holding my sides!! Their words of wisdom? Wear good footwear that will stay on your feet when you are in the mud flats...and you are better off to dig clams with a hack or a fork than with your bare hands!!

Despite the hard earned clams, though, Osama and Iryna enjoyed a feed of clams over the fire and even got to sample a bit of striped bass; a good time was had by all and we are all a little richer for the memories!

Travel safe, Osama and Iryna. Was a pleasure to meet you and we wish you the best in the new careers you are pursuing!!

Fabulous fireworks display from last Saturday night!! A good time was had by all... Still a few great sites left for the September long weekend; book early for best site selection!

Are you coming camping here soon? Would LOVE IT if people brought their old newspapers to donate to our paper bin for your fellow campers to draw from to start their campfires! Just can't seem to keep that bin full!!

GREAT tips here. My favorite was the cotton balls/dryer lint prepared with Vaseline at home and put in your camping gear to use as firestarter...

There’s a lot that goes into the perfect camping experience. Part of the joy is being away from modern conveniences, but that doesn’t mean it has to be difficult. What is your favorite camping trick that makes the experience just a little more bearable?

Campfire Cones filled with your favorite s'more ingredients can be made on the grill, in the oven, or heated over a campfire!
