Tiny sneak peek into one small part of the hand lettering process. We spend a lot of time getting all the details of a wedding suite jussst so. Sometimes we nail it on the first go, other times (more often) it’s many iterations until we get that in the gut “feels just right” for so-and-so vibe. It’s truly a labour of love.

Lettered using a 18/0 round brush. M + A are bound for one of our upcoming semi-custom suites!

A tiny sneak peek into my process for brush lettering. Sometimes it takes a million iterations to get those details jusssst so. Much more rarely I’m satisfied on the first go, but it’s all about producing the highest quality possible every time.

I used a 5/0 round brush for this set and it’s bound for one of our upcoming semi-custom suites which I’m SO excited about.

Hi! Hello! Hey! It’s time I jump on here and say a little something as I’ve had a few people - mostly friends and family, but a few stationers (hi paper friends, I’m so excited to get to know you better!) - trickling in from my former account

What is that they say?... “life happens while you’re busy making plans”. That. That was it in a nutshell for Thistle & Dew. False starts for 5 years while other things (justifiably) demanded my attention. An emotionally manipulative job that for a time robbed me entirely of my creativity. Recovery. My first child and adapting to becoming a mother. Life in general. I so badly wanted to make a go of it, but I just couldn’t.

So here we are today. Happier, creatively driven again, changed. And I felt like a fresh start was needed to mark those changes and the direction I wanted to take with my style and brand. So I’m unofficially officially announcing our new name, A Beautiful Wilde ... inspired by wanting to celebrate the heck out of this beautifully wild thing we call life.
(And I will be making a bigger splash in the near future when we’re really ready to roll - so stay tuned!)

In the meantime here’s a throwback from 2017 to a map detail from our own wedding suite. We worked with a few brilliant clients and did some damn fine work along the way despite it all.
