Congratulations again, to Vern Balysky from Yorkton, Saskatchewan. The $20,000 winner of this year’s SSA Winter Spirit Raffle! His ticket was sold by the Yorkton Sno-Riders.

It’s always great to see where the winning ticket lands and the people behind it. Moments like this are a reminder of how strong and connected the snowmobiling community is across the province.

It’s that time of year! 🎉

2️⃣ recipients have been selected for the 2026 SSA Scholarship Program and we’re excited to introduce the second.

Give a big round of applause for Davin Domashovitz! Davin is 2️⃣ of 2️⃣ well-deserving recipients of SSA’s 2026 Scholarship Program. His dedication to snowmobiling and clear sense of direction helped him stand out.

Davin is heading to the University of Saskatchewan in the fall after being accepted into the Bachelor of Science in Engineering program. This step reflects the commitment he’s shown as a member of the Timber Trails Sno Riders Snowmobile Club.

Each year, 2️⃣ students receive a $1,000 SSA Scholarship to support their transition into post-secondary. It recognizes the time they’ve put into the sport and the communities they’re part of.

We’re proud to support Davin as he moves forward and works toward a career in engineering.

Let’s give it up for Gavin Palmer! Gavin is 1️⃣ of 2️⃣ well-deserving recipients of SSA’s 2026 Scholarship Program. His involvement in snowmobiling and focus on what comes after graduation set him apart.

Gavin is heading to Saskatchewan Polytechnic in the fall to begin the Truck and Transport Mechanic trade. This step reflects the experience he’s developed as an active member of the Tri-Valley Trails Snowmobile Club.

Each year, 2️⃣ students receive a $1,000 SSA Scholarship to support their move into post-secondary. It recognizes the time they’ve put into the sport and the communities they’re part of.

We’re proud to support Gavin as he continues forward and puts his skills to work in the trades.

DISAPPOINTED
Well we have some real winners on the trails today!! Ice house creek shelter had some people that decided to have some drinks and leave their garbage and empty cans behind. It’s disappointing to see this kind of disrespect to our community and the complete disregard for our volunteers that make sure the trails and shelters are in great shape for all visitors.
To the people that left this mess please sell your sleds!!! And just so you know we have some trail cams and you may just may show up on the next Facebook post.

Please join us in celebrating Gillian Hipkins of the Melfort & District Trail Riders. She has been selected as the recipient of the 2026 Brenda Welsh Outstanding Woman in Snowmobiling Excellence Award from the Canadian Council of Snowmobile Organizations (CCSO). 🏆

Gillian’s work shows up across her club and community. She supports local initiatives, promotes the sport and encourages responsible riding among fellow riders.

That level of involvement led to this national recognition. The award will be presented on June 6, 2026, in Nebraska at the International Snowmobile Congress. It brings together leaders from across North America to celebrate the sport.
