Unbelievable ..... the progress to save them was so far and now one single Person can destroy all this.

It’s very upsetting to hear the ban on the importing of trophies from elephants killed in Zimbabwe and Zambia has been reversed. This is a terrible blow to the international campaign to end the ivory trade. I urge the US government to keep the ban on elephant trophies in place. I have always believed that we must only HUNT WITH A CAMERA, NOT WITH A GUN. Did you know that back in the early 20th century there were 3-5 million African elephants, and now there are only 415,000 left? You can help by choosing countries that are committed to sustainable conservation that protects wildlife and shares the economic benefits of wildlife tourism directly with the local community.

You're asking now, what does this have to do with your camp?
Ha, I used to think the broadcasts are completely exaggerated and something like that can't happen in reality.
We just got our own soap opera in Kenya and this puts the two big role models in the shade.
There's thIs private couple who wants to open up a tiny little camp. Not for the big business, alone because it's in love with the land and the people. But there's another camp, not right next door, but not too far away. And they don't like it. And then there's another camp on the other side of the river, pretty far away.
Now it's gonna be hard to explain. Camp2 on the other side of the river is already raging on the first day of construction, we would spoil their view. What, haven't started yet. And then they go and build an ugly metall house in front of the terrace of camp1. But why there, they don't have anything to do with our construction site. And then.... camp1 doesn't fight and keep calm, but expect from the landowners that they're going to work (and maybe get us out again?) . We could not bring together the puzzle pieces and all the illogical events. It just didn't fit.
But if you think a small moment that camp1 is not the victim, but the real agressor..... then the pieces of the puzzle slide gently into each other and there's nothing more illogical.
Well, what do you say....
The good news is..... the landowners are with us. We stay and our camp will come.this. They decided to let the others go if they want.I feel really honored and blessed.

Wow, they are working really fast. Even with the days off due to the election, they are ahead of schedule.
Wow, die arbeiten schnell. Trotz der Ausfalltage wegen der Wahl, sind sie der Planung voraus.

They are busy working again . And as you can see everything is done by hand. They don't use heavy machines. But it is good that the locals have a chance to get a job during the construction.

Sie sind wieder fleissig bei der Arbeit. Und wie zu sehen ist, wird alles mit der Hand gemacht. Sie nutzen keine Maschinen. Aber es ist gut tu sehen, dass die Einheimischen die Chance auf einen Job bekommen.

Our constructor are back on the site and back to work. Due to the election everybody had left for home to vote at the polling station they belong to. Than it was delayed due to the usual discussions and doubts by the Opposition. But now it settled and they are working again.

Unsere Bauleute sind wieder am Grundstück und die Arbeit geht weiter. Wegen der Wahl waren alle nach Hause gefahren um im heimischen Wahllokal zu wählen. Danach hat sich die Rückreise wegen der üblichen Einwände der Opposition verzögert. Aber jetzt hat sich die Lage wieder beruhigt und sie sind wieder an der Arbeit.

Tag 5: die Gäben für die stabilisierenden Wände unter der Erde sind schon fast ausgehoben, für das Haupthaus, das Angestelltenhaus und die 5 Zeltfundamente.
Day 5: the trenches for the stabilizing walling under the ground are nearly ready, for the main house, the staff quarter and the 5 tent foundations.

Hier geht die Post ab. Die Jungs hauen richtig rein. Unterkunft und Lager stehen. Die Plätze sind ausgemessen und teilweise sind auch schon die ersten Aushübe angefangen. Auf dem Grundstück grasen immer noch die Kühe der Massa einträchtig neben den Zebras.
