A spectacular sunrise over The Val d’Hérens.
It was over in a flash; but what a start to the day and happy to report that a restless night can bring such beauty.

There are benefits to waking early and catching this !

This was at 06.06am - you can even see the stars still shining brightly above The Dent Blanche

Literally you are on top of the world as you navigate the 9.8km challenging loop of this Mont-Rouge hike.

🥾starting in Thyon and heading out towards the Gouilles d’Essertze
🥾taking in the panoramic views of the Val d’Hérens
🥾stopping at Les Chottes for a breather and a refreshing recharge
🥾continuing on the final stretch of the loop along the gentle Bisse de Chervé

The full Buck moon 🌖 this week was beautiful. Truly lighting up the magnificent mountain ranges and the valley.

Add in a Bisse walk in Veysonnaz to the mix and some ‘cooler’ Valaisan mountain air and it’s a perfect day.

This is what a summer ☀️ in The Valais 🇨🇭looks like! No filter required.
It’s a perfect combination of hiking, chilling and playing tennis and hanging by Les Isles lake.
Returning home to some comfy outdoor sofas and chairs and opening a well deserved bottle of cold beer or wine helps too!

It’s heating up again in the valley this week - 36 degrees in Sion, so the cooler mountain temperatures are a welcome respite.

8pm on an April evening heading out for dinner in the mountains and you’re greeted with The Dent Blanche in all her beauty. Simply mesmerizing and majestic. 🏔️🇨🇭🌷

This was The Pink Moon and the first full moon of Spring - she was beautiful and completely filled the valley with her intensity.

Here’s wishing for a peaceful Easter 🐣 period. Thankful to be in the mountains.
