Our Bird and Wildlife Photography Workshop, AvistarPatagonia, took place a few weeks ago in this remote and beautiful corner of the world. It coincided with the official declaration of Torres del Paine National Park, our main location for the workshop, as the 8th World's Natural Wonders.
Based at Hotel Remota, whose people we thank for providing our logistics and for making of it our comfortable temporary home during the event, we thoroughly enjoyed (and learned from) the presence of our keynote speakers Arthur Morris, David Tipling, Álvaro Jaramillo, Denise Ippolito, Edson Endrigo and Octavio Campos, and had the unique chance of learning first-hand from their individual and collective experiences in photography, edition and through their photograpy workshops, bird lectures and their field craft when looking for such great birds as Yellow- and White-bridled finches, Scale-throated Earthcreeper, Austral Canastero, Rufous-chested and Tawny-throated dotterels, Chilean Flamingo, Andean Condor, Silvery Grebe, Andean Ruddy Duck, Austral Pygmy Owl and many more, all framed in the magnificent, luminous and ever-changing landscapes of Chilean Southern Patagonia.
We hope to see you again next year, to continue enjoying, sharing and learning from the greats in the world of bird and nature photography..!
