The vision bearer of FIAFA is in Johannesburg South Africa to participate in the Forty under 40 Africa awards. The award is meant to identify, honor and celebrate a cross section of the continents most influential and accomplished business persons.

Mr Nemfor Alfred has also used his visit to South Africa to pitch FIAFAs vision of empowering single mothers and internally displaced women to partners in attendance.

FIAFA 2022 had an objective to empower some internally displaced women. Through TELCAR cocoa, this dream was realized. Industrialized sewing machines and a cash price was handed to 10 young women who will continue to receive training on the business of fashion designing. The goal is to empower more young women as we plan our next move

A capacity building workshop to empower single mothers and some internally displaced women on the business of fashion designing has taken place in Buea months after they received sewing machines. The initiative derived from FIAFA’s community engagement project was powered by TELCAR Cocoa. Certificate of participation was handed to the participants including cash prices.
