Just over an hour from Quinta 4 Gatos lies one of Colombia's most spectacular landscapes. 🏔️🇨🇴

The Chicamocha Canyon, carved over millions of years through the Eastern Andes (Cordillera Oriental), is one of those places that never fails to amaze us.

One day we're working, homeschooling, and enjoying life at Quinta 4 Gatos.

The next, we're standing here, reminded of just how extraordinary this region is.

It's one of the many reasons we've fallen in love with Santander—and one of the things we love sharing with the families who stay with us.

Tomorrow, another family will call Quinta 4 Gatos home. ❤️

One of the unexpected joys of opening our home is seeing how every family experiences it in their own way.

For some, it's the hammock.

For others, it's breakfast on the terrace, evenings around the outdoor kitchen, walks through the property, or simply sitting quietly and enjoying the view.

The house stays the same.

But every visit creates a completely different story.

That's what makes this journey so special for us.

For a little while, Quinta 4 Gatos becomes part of another family's memories, just as they becomes
part of another family's memories, just as they become part of ours.

We hope they'll leave with wonderful moments, a slower pace, and perhaps a small piece of Quinta 4 Gatos that stays with them long after they return home. 🌿

Nature, fresh air, running, climbing trees and looking after animals are big part of life here at Quinta 4Gatos

But we also embrace technology.

Work still needs to get done.

Lessons still happen.

Ideas still come to life.

People often ask why we chose a different way of life.

For us, the answer has never been about escaping anything.

It has always been about creating more moments like this.

A place where the children can run freely, explore, build, learn and simply enjoy being together.

We've recently made a few small improvements to 4Gatos, opening the house a little more to the outdoors.

Looking at this view today reminds us why every little project has been worth it.

Little by little, we're building not just a home, but the place where our family is growing together. ❤️

Every home tells a story.

This is our newest chapter.

Over the past few days, our whole family helped build the new entrance to 4 Gatos.

It wasn't really about creating a roundabout.

It was about creating another memory together.

Years from now, we probably won't remember every stone we moved.

But we'll remember the teamwork, the laughter, and the feeling of building something as a family.

That's what makes this place feel like home. ❤️

One of the questions we ask ourselves most often is:

How do you prepare children for a future nobody can predict?

We don't believe the answer is having all the right answers.

We think it starts by creating space for meaningful conversations.

Today, ours was about money.

Not because money is the most important thing in life, but because understanding it helps create opportunities, independence, and better decisions.

We hope our children grow up knowing that learning doesn't stop when a lesson ends.

Sometimes, the most valuable lessons begin around the family table. ❤️

One thing we have noticed over the years is that children rarely ask for more than we think they do.

A little freedom.
A little imagination.
A little space to explore.

Give them those things, and they often create the adventure themselves.
