We are very excited for your return to Hotel Cocal and Casino. The hotel has gone under a huge transformation.

As many of you know last year we purchased the hotel next door Mango Mar. We are 70% completed with that project. We took Mango Mar down and are replacing it with 6 two bedroom suites, two bathrooms, living room and kitchen with a private balcony facing the ocean.

It has added a nice new touch to the Cocal property. We are currently taking reservations for these units for January 2021 rentals, you can contact us at [email protected].

We are happy to let you know that Costa Rican’s international airport Juan Santamaria is opening August 1st 2020 for countries within the European Union, the United Kingdom and Canada, initially with a total of 5 flights per week. Flights from other countries will be allowed to enter Costa Rica at a later date and is now been analysed by the government.
The government has taken all the necessary precautions to keep all our visitors safe and making sure the wait at the airport is not long. The protocol was established by the airport administration with the cooperation of the health experts from the government and the private sector.
Costa Rica was certificate as a safe destination by the World Travel and Tourism Council. The county’s protocols were submitted by the Tourism Board and they exceeded the expectation of the council, given Costa Rica a prestigious spot worldwide, amongst other countries such as Aruba, Dubai, Turkey , part of Spain and others.
Some of the protocols Tourists will need to follow are:
• Answering a questionnaire before their arrival.
• Provide results of test showing negative for Covid-19this test must be no more than 48 hours old.
• Submit proof of travel insurance in the event they need to extend their travel time and to cover medical expensive if needed.
• Wear a mask or face shield at the airport
• Follow the airport protocols.

Other tours that can be enjoyed as of August 1st 2020 are canopy tours, hokes, fishing, snorkelling tours, island tours and other activates performed outdoors. Beaches are open to 5 am to 2:30 pm.

Our staff is happy to assist you in the restaurant or pool area from 7 am until 11 pm.

Dear Cocal Guest
As you know with the current coronavirus many part of the world have to come to a complete stop. Costa Rica is not exception; in fact we have some of the most stringent restrictions.
At Cocal we decided to turn the faucet on not turn the faucet off. We are full speed ahead on the new condo suites next to the hotel with completion November 30th.
